Aloha all, at last Friday is here again, and to get your weekend started, I came across this story from Voice of America. It’s about the Flipflop Recycling Company in Nairobi. They collect old flipflops, or as they are called here in Hawaii, slippahs, and turn them into art. Check out the video.

Here’s a fun walk down memory lane. Entertainment Magazine recently shot a series of Cast Reunions from “ET,” “Breaking Away,” “Melrose Place,” And “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”

And the best for last, who knew that the wonderful actor Sir Ian McKellan was a big Sir Mixalot fan? Here is is interpretation of “Baby Got Back.”

Have a great weekend everybody.

It’s been a wacky week, wrangling volunteers for a local writers conference, but this one came across one of my friends feeds and damn, if it did not have my laughing my head off. I wish you a rollicking weekend, filled with fun, and to get it started…. This is from the world famous “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff. You’ve heard it a zillion times in movies and commercials, but I bet you never misheard the lyrics like this. Have fun!

Yes, this is an overabundance of foolishness, but it’s Friday. Enjoy some chicken and salsa cookies this weekend. What is your favorite misheard lyric? Mine used to be from the Police song, “Canaries in a Coalmine.” I thought the chorus was: “Mary’s in a Coma.”

Hello hellacious cats and kittens, it’s the end of the working week for most, time to wind down and consider: What do  Huge Laurie, the Worst Album Covers of All Time, and Julia Child, all have in common? Nothing really, but you can find them all here. Enjoy! (WARNING, the Worst Album Covers of All Time is NOT SAFE FOR WORK, there is nudity, and sexual innuendo…And titles such as, Cody Matherson’s hit album, “Can I borrow a Feelin’?” and Svetlana Gruebbersolvik’s “My Lips Were Made for Blowing.)

I came across this in an episode of “Inside the Actors Studio.” I mean we knew Hugh Laurie had talent, but come on, this is just freaking hilarious (for some reason, I can’t seem to get this video linked in here properly, so just click on Hugh’s name and it will take you to youtube)

Moving on, I was a big Julia Child fan from waaayy back. I used to watch her show on PBS with my parents, but I’m sure my parents could never have imagined this version.

I think that’s enough silliness to get your weekend rockin’, play safe and see you next week.
